๐ Anovulation
A menstrual cycle in which no egg is released from the ovaries. Anovulation is the most common cause of female infertility.
In Detail
In a normal cycle, the pituitary gland releases FSH and LH to trigger ovulation. Anovulation occurs when this process is disrupted by hormonal imbalances, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, excessive exercise, stress, or weight extremes. Signs include irregular periods, very light or heavy periods, and difficulty conceiving. Ovulation-inducing medications like Clomid are often used as treatment.
