๐Ÿ“– Hysteroscopy

A minimally invasive procedure where a thin camera is inserted through the cervix to view the inside of the uterus, diagnose problems, and sometimes treat them.

In Detail

Hysteroscopy can diagnose and treat uterine polyps, fibroids, septum, adhesions (Asherman's syndrome), and abnormal bleeding. Diagnostic hysteroscopy can be done in-office with minimal anesthesia. Operative hysteroscopy (to remove polyps/fibroids) usually requires general anesthesia. Recovery is typically 1-2 days. It's often recommended before IVF to optimize the uterine environment for implantation.
